Important Notice:
As of September 30th 2011, funding for OPHA’s Youth Engagement Project ended. It is the intent that the tools and resources created will be used to sustain youth engagement programming within the pilot sites as well as among other Public Health Units working to incorporate youth engagement into their plans. What's New on the site and important highlights:
- Continued coaching and consultation services to public health staff.
- The development of a sustainability plan and lessons learned evaluation document
- 4 regional in-person Youth Engagement workshops are planned for September 2011. These will be held in Toronto, York Region, New Liskeard and Hamilton.
- OPHA is holding 2 identical webinars for public health professionals, NGOs, and community partners throughout the province in September 2011. To register, visit: Making Youth Engagement Work in Public Health Webinar
- A Youth Engagement toolkit and Project Lead’s Guide in both French and English as well as other OPHA Youth Engagemant resources are available for download.
- A publicly accessible current Youth Engagement website is now available in English and French
