OPHA is holding 2 identical webinars for public health professionals, NGOs, and community partners throughout the province. This is an excellent professional development opportunity for those preparing for and/or already involved in youth engagement within their organization. There is still time to register for OPHA’s Youth Engagement Webinars on:
Tuesday September 20th, 2011 at 1:00PM to 2:00PM or Monday September 26th, 2011 at 10:00AM to 11:00AM!
Highlights of these webinar’s include:
i) Introduction to the Ontario Public Health Association and future webinar topics
ii) Making the case for Youth Engagement in Public Health – what the research says and practical examples and case studies
iii) Practical tools and Resources available for youth engagement work including OPHA’s brand new toolkits, guides, and website!

On April 14 and 21, 2011 OPHA's YE Project hosted two free informational webinars about the project.
- The Webinars offered:
- Details about important evaluation findings
- Discussion around the development of our Youth Engagement Toolkit that highlights the different stages for effectively working with youth and the Guide to Youth Engagement that highlights how to prepare for youth engagement, develop youth engagement programming, and sustaining youth engagement programming
- Description of the pilot phase of this project and learnings from this process
- An opportunity for dialogue
- An opportunity to hear from OPHA staff about what worked, what were some barriers/challenges, and what were our lessons learned
- An opportunity to ask questions and gain access to the valuable resources and tools OPHA has to offer
- An excellent professional development opportunity for those preparing for and/or already involved in youth engagement within their organization!
