Arts-informed Approaches

Arts and culture approaches provide youth with tools to create a common identity, explore important issues and social injustices, communicate their visions for change, and get heard by their peers, parents, teachers, and other community members.  Arts and culture approaches also helps to attract new members and sustain the energy of existing members; some youth will come for the arts and may find themselves increasingly interested in the issues.
